O' Youtube

I was addicted to YouTube over the summer. A lot of people ask why, how can a person get sucked into YouTube? Well my friends, to relieve the curiosity of those inquisitive minds, I will now show MY top all time favorite videos which got me hooked into youtube:

This is why Bollywood's so great.

This is why I'm not a scientologist haha..

I love old people.

And I am ALWAYS bringing sexyback.

Procrastination station...thanks to Jenny!

Isn't this great?! I'm writing a new posting for my blog. Thanks for reminding me Jenny, I totally forgot this even existed. I'm sure like 3 people will read it, but hey its really my form of procrastination right now.

So, wow what have I been up to this year? Nothing much really. Organized a conference, organizing a newly developed CD team, doing poorly in school haha, and job hunting for the summer.

My plans for life have been so sporatic. First I wanted to go to Africa in the summer, but then I talked to a company rep. from Hilti at the Career Fair (woot!), anyways, he got me interested in an internship position. So, I applied, got interviewed and I'm waiting to hear whether I got the job and where I'm going to be located (it'll be one of the major cities in the U.S.) I'm holding off on Africa since I think I need to make money to fund my AIESEC conferences next year, and I just need that experience since my concentration this year has been marketing, I might as well do a job on it and further develop my skills or what not. School has sucked in result of my work in AIESEC. 2 weeks ago I really had a hard time coping with school. I was so sure I was dropping AIESEC forever and that I regretted being involved with it in the first place haha. But I realized my resume would have been shit if I didnt join and I wouldve never had this much fun in school too. Plus I cried to some of my profs so I got some tests excused...haha.. crying rocks!

Ok, I'll keep posting jenny! hopefully you'll read my rantings! love you and miss you! you need to come here and visit asap! I was reading your writing in the trainee book the other day. It was pretty funny! You wrote that I was the "woman of your dreams" haha...then you wrote in big letters, "I LIKE GUYS!" it was funny, Tanveer was grossed out ha! I do hope you're doing well tho, this year was definitely more boring without you. You may think I'm lying, but seriously, last year was way more fun! oh and Crash should NOT have won best picture. Brokeback Mt. was better. The Gay cowboys are hot!

AHHHH sorry fell off the bandwagon for a looong time..

Michael's inspired me to write a blog. Okay, I'm super tired...Global Village went great today, I stuffed my face! I probably ate about 20 chinese sausages. All the food was awesome! I love seeing our hard work come together so smoothly.
But on to more interesting topics:

How much does amanda's brother love me? ohhhh so much! He came and cleaned in between my butthole folds today... haha...I joke..

Anyone see those flip bitches at GV today? well...they're raising money for a great program going on in Southeast Asia right now called Gawad Kalinga. This program involves building 70000 homes, in 7000 cities, in 7 years in the Phillipines. If they successfully reach their goal, the phillipines will no longer be a 3rd-world country. So far they've built over 15000 homes in 2 years! and the effort's still going strong! Just some inspiration that 3rd world countries have a chance to break out of their status. www.gawadkalinga.org

Indo and brown fo' life!

Stay tuned for my next blog, late!

Home, Home at last...

After enduring a 5.5hr. plane ride trapped in between stinky feet guy and a 15yr. old girl who slept on my shoulder, I finally made it home to the U.S. of A.!

I've been keeping busy lately, eating my parents food and sleeping was the plan. My dad took me out to IHOP (international house of pancakes) right when I arrived, that was kind of nice. We had some bonding time, chatted a little. Then I put together a hammock with my dad, after that I rode around my neighborhood in his new hot red lawnmower-it was quite the adventure, I stalled the lawnmower 3x because its apparently harder to drive than a car.

Yesterday my mom was home all day and we stayed in, talking and cleaning. In the afternoon, some random guy from a meat delivery company knocked on our door and offered us some meat, and my mom (being a sucker for "bargains") bought $250 worth of beef steaks and chicken breast. Lets just say we now have enough meat to last us for a decade. I ended the night yesterday by watching: Starsky and Hutch, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, and my ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE (that i've seen 6x): That Thing You Do. I went to bed at 5am.

Today I went to a memorial service for a good family friend of ours that just passed away this morning. This would make the count to a total of 6 funerals that i've attended in 2yrs. I've become numb to grief, it hardly affects me now. People come and go, its just a part of life. So I cried a little today, consoled my mom a lot. I'm just really thankful that I made it back here to help my mother through this.

Summers for me are never normal. You never know what tomorrow will bring. I'm going to bed now to find out. I'll blog some more later. Next Topic: the World Bank....

10 things i love about amanda!

  1. she has the amazing ability to whine constantly
  2. she always comes in my room to fart then "runaway, runaway"
  3. she's always there if you need a person to sing moulin rouge and sound of music songs.
  4. her constant twitching is always nice
  5. hearing her creaky ankles 5x a day just fills me up with a warm fuzzy feeling
  6. she's got an amazingly hott sounding older brother (who makes me orgasm everytime i talk to him-even if we just talk for 3sec.!)
  7. you can always count on amanda to split open her thumb and rack up a $50 ambulance fee..ha ha
  8. she has the ability to win superbowl bets and make me run around oak bay, stopping traffic, with a condom sticking straight up on top of my head, wearing only my underwear, an "I love NY" t-shirt, a potleaf lei, and showing off "I am a douchebag" written in eyeliner on my right cheek.
  9. she gives up the cigarette hiding spots if you just tell her about your "hairy boobs and yeast infection" issues
  10. most of all I love that she can pee with me in the woods, in someone's backyard, in front of an apt. building off of mckenzie, in front of an apt. building on fort st., in a parkade, in front of quizno's, and many other places in victoria that i can't recall right now..
  11. I just dont know what i'm gonna do without my amanda over the summer...

Procrastination is evil

So I promised myself I wouldn't blog til I ended finals, but its 2:20am and i'm spacing out, so I might as well do this instead. So what did i do today you might ask? I got up, made breakfast, showered, and headed for school. Then parked my ass in the library for 7.15hrs I left the campus at 9:15 and I felt really pathetic for staying in the library for that long. But thats what happens when I refuse to buy a required textbook for my sociology class. The reserve section was my home for the past 2 days.

What are some things I learned while I was at the library you might ask? well...
  1. Canadians screwed and continue to screw over the Aboriginal population.
  2. Sociologists feel its groundbreaking to find out that a democratic workplace is impossible because there will continue to be an autocratic underlying theme.
  3. "give a person a fish, they eat for a day; teach a person how to fish, they eat for a lifetime"
  4. 1 billion people in the world are illiterate
  5. 1 billion people live on less than $1 a day
  6. Apparently World Bank is bad and i must yell at my mom when i get home
  7. advancing health care and improved living conditions has actually caused more problems because overpopulation is a critical social problem. estimated 12billion people by 2025. (there's only 6 billion now, so you can only imagine).
So the most important thing I learned is that I will do anything to help solve a major social problem. So if the world wants to get rid of a hot 19yr old indonesian female that is lying in bed 'blogging' instead of doing hw because she doesnt want to study or do her finals at UVIC, thats cool with me. Hey, i'd be freeing up some more space for you guys!
